Mark Steele connects with his best friend Sh8kes for this new ‘All Smoke’ video.

Today (3/11/2019) marks the birthday of North Carolina emcee Mark Steele‘s best friend Sh8kes. The two hark back to the confrontational mindset of their formative years in the official “All Smoke” music video.

“Sh8kes has been my best friend since Dakota Street (address of James E. Shepard, where we attended middle school; located in Durham, NC) I find his story to be even more compelling than mine. Today, March 11, is his birthday and he released a book titled “It’s Personal” full of original poems reflecting his journey. In addition we dropped the visual to “All Smoke”, a tune created to sum up a mindset we both felt forced to uphold in adolescence; due to the environment we grew up in. Forever my guy, happy birthday Sh8kes!”  – Mark Steele
