Nomad Carlos & Farma Beats – Cipher

Nomad Carlos and Farma Beats get together for this new EP titled ‘Cipher.

New York-based Jamaican independent Hip Hop artist Nomad Carlos has released a new EP titled Cipher in collaboration with London producer Farma Beats. The seven-track project which is available on all digital platforms comes after the previous recent releases of the songs, Leviathan Axe and Riot, and the music video for Take These Gems.

Cipher features Farma Beats’ signature gritty sound laden with rich organs complemented by Nomad Carlos’ nonchalant confidence and relaxed flow. Carlos tackles everything from his own story to the powers that be, all while dropping gems and sharing his feelings on music and the industry.

The EP begins with Intro (Cipher’s Location), which draws its inspiration from the video game Metal Gear Solid. The project then progresses into Take These Gems, which already has an Udemba McLean and Scotty Dreamkiller-directed visual. Riot comes after, followed by the hook-less lyrical tirade Leviathan Axe.

Nomad Carlos flips a common concept in his own wayon Old Flame as he reflects on his relationship with Hip Hop. On Facts, Carlos asks himself about a series of universal concerns and questions in life he answers on his own. Cipher ends with Saintz Go Marchin In, which features Nomad Carlos’ fellow members in The Council of The Gods, Inztinkz, Five Steez and The Sickest Drama, all going in, demonstrating a strong chemistry and energy forged over a decade.

“I connected with Farma Beats initially to do one single and then it lead to us doing a whole EP” says Nomad Carlos. “I had a concept going with the references in the rhymes based on my favorite video game Metal Gear Solid. So I named the project Cipher
