YelaWolf – Ghetto Cowboy

YelaWolf releases ‘Ghetto Cowboy,’ his sixth studio album.

Artist, songwriter and entrepreneur YelaWolf released his new album ‘Ghetto Cowboy‘, today, November 1, premiering exclusively to fans on Halloween night via YouTube. The sixth studio album from the rapper is the first to drop on his own independent label Slumerican Records, an extension of his lifestyle brand with retail headquarters based in Nashville, TN.

The highly anticipated project features single releases “Opie Taylor” and “Unnatural Born Killer,” which have been getting a warm reception with New Music Friday placements and playlist support from Spotify, Tidal, Amazon, and across iHeartRadio. Wolf also has a fan in pro athlete LeBron James who recently posted he “can’t wait for the album to drop.”

“This Ghetto Cowboy album has been the most gratifying to me as an artist being that it’s my first indie release on my own label. I have no one to answer to and that can be a scary responsibility. After Love Story, Trial By Fire and then Trunk Muzik 3, I feel like I got a well-rounded project that speaks to all the fans; hip hop, rock’n’roll, and southern fans alike. I ain’t reinventing the wheel here, just doing what I love to do, doing what I think is dope and original. I never want to stop challenging the genre or the listener or become complacent or settled cause that’s boring as f_<# to me and the fans. G.C. is unapologetic, brutally honest and at times completely vulnerable. I leave it all out there. Take it or leave it.“ – YelaWolf.

Meanwhile, Wolf is currently in the middle of the U.S. leg of his Ghetto Cowboy tour which kicked off last month and visits Canada this week, where he is the featured artist on Spotify’s New Music Friday billboard in downtown Toronto. Wolf stops in Brooklyn, New York November 12 before visiting Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago and others, wrapping in Louisville November 24. With packed venues and sell out shows HipHopDX recently reported from the LA stop “with the line to the entrance growing nearly out of control, obviously his fans have become as dedicated as ever.”
