Stylz N’ Wells ft. Too Short, Scoe & James Debarge – Vibes

Stylz N’ Wells are back with ‘Vibes’ featuring Too Short, Scoe & James Debarge.

After achieving significant success individually, they decided it was time to return to the foundation. Stylz (also known as rapper Styliztik Jones) and Wells (prod/rapper, J. Wells) have both had a hand in major hip-hop records the last several years.

Wells a multi-platinum GRAMMY-nominated producer has produced for several of the biggest names in music including (Snoop Dogg, Rakim, Kurupt, Goodie Mob, Keyshia Cole, T.I., Too Short and many more) and Styliztk Jones (Stylz) began his career battle rapping on Sway & Tech’s The Wake Up Show alongside Mistah Fab, Kurupt, Will.I.Am and other renowned emcees and began recording and touring with Tha Alkaholiks at an early age and was featured on their Firewater album. Recently Styliztik was featured on Ghostface Killah’s album The Lost Tapes alongside Big Daddy Kane on “Done It Again.”

In January of 2020, Stylz N’ Wells will release their new collaborative album, one that features Nipsey Hussle, Too Short, Scoe, James Debarge, Big Rube, Stic-man (of Dead Prez) and others. Today, they premiere the first single, “Vibes,” from that forthcoming album with HIpHopDx. “Vibes” features Too Short, Scoe and the legendary crooner and longtime collaborator James DeBarge.

“I was working with Too Short on The Pimp Tape when I asked him to feature on my project. Surprisingly he picked “Vibes” a more laid back record we had just put James Debarge on” Wells commented to HipHopDx. “I asked him a few times if he was comfortable on this type of track and he surprisingly said the track reminded him of a legendary group that he always wanted to work with, but the label (Jive) always opposed the idea and prevented them from collaborating together. I asked him what group he was talking about and he told me A Tribe Called Quest. It’s an honor to get this rare perspective from the rap legend on record.”
